Built to help visitors find their way around, it lists the shops, activities and restaurants of Bouillante. If you want to know which bakery opens early, where to eat on a Sunday evening or who runs boat trips out to the Cousteau reserve, this is where to look — the information is local and kept up to date by people on the ground, which no general travel guide manages.

Head to bouyantanmwen.com. The homepage includes a short tutorial for installing the app on your phone; there is nothing to download from an app store.

One thing to know: the site and app are in French. Your phone’s browser translation will handle most of it, and the addresses, opening hours and phone numbers need no translating at all.
