Meet your hosts
When you book with us, you are not booking through an agency. You are booking directly with the three couples who own the properties on the estate, who live part of the year in Guadeloupe and who share one aim: to make your stay a good one, and to make you want to come back.
“We met in 2022, when we each bought our properties here. Out of that meeting grew a real closeness — friendship, support, and a shared wish to spend good moments together.”
Isabelle and Olivier — Studio Marlin
On the left of the photograph. Isabelle and Olivier welcome guests to the Marlin studio in person, and as a welcome gift they share dinner on the evening you arrive and breakfast the following morning. They are on hand with advice throughout your stay.
“Isabelle and Olivier settled on the estate in 2022. This is their main home, where they live for most of the year. Thoroughly at home in Guadeloupe, they always have good advice and know all the best-kept secrets.”
Stéphanie and Cyril — Bungalow Kaz'Basse
Stéphanie at the back on the left, Cyril at the front on the right. Check-in at the Kaz’Basse is self-service via a key safe, so you can arrive whenever suits you; Stéphanie, Cyril and Sophie, who looks after the bungalow, remain reachable throughout your stay.
“Stéphanie and Cyril live in the Charente region of mainland France, and plan to settle in Guadeloupe for good within a few years. Cyril is a keen and skilled angler, and is happy to advise on sea fishing around the island.”
Nathalie and Fabrice — Bungalow Foufou
On the right of the photograph. Guests at the Foufou are welcomed on arrival by our concierge service, who stay available for the duration of your stay.
“Nathalie and Fabrice live in the Nord department of mainland France. For the past ten years they have come to Guadeloupe roughly twice a year, always to the Bouillante area of Basse-Terre. They know the region inside out and are glad to help you make the most of it.”
What booking directly means
Three couples, three properties, one shared piece of land — with a pool, a garden and a view over the Cousteau reserve that everyone uses. It is an unusual arrangement, and it is what makes staying here feel less like renting a holiday let and more like being someone’s guest.
It also means you deal with us directly: no platform between you and the people who know the place. Ask us where to eat, where is the best spot for snorkelling, or which road to take up to La Soufrière, and you will get an answer from someone who has actually done it.
Have a question before you book? Write to us — we answer personally, usually within 48 hours.
