Location
The property is located in the commune of Bouillante, in the Pigeon area, in a green and unspoilt corner of Guadeloupe.
Halfway between Deshaies and Basse-Terre, its central position makes it easy to explore the whole of Basse-Terre. The Route de la Traversée, 8 km away, takes you across to Grande-Terre in 30 minutes.
Everyday amenities — supermarket, bakery, petrol station, pharmacy — are all within 2 km.
- The nearest beach, Grand Malendure, is 3 km away.
Why stay in Bouillante, facing the Cousteau Reserve
Bouillante holds a special place on the Côte-sous-le-Vent, Guadeloupe’s leeward coast. The property looks out over the Pigeon Islands and the Jacques Cousteau Underwater Reserve, one of the finest diving and snorkelling sites in the Caribbean. Dive boats leave from Malendure beach, 3 km away, and masks, fins and snorkels are yours to borrow free of charge.
Beyond diving, our position makes it easy to explore the whole of Basse-Terre. To the north, the Deshaies Botanical Garden and the pale-sand beaches are about thirty minutes away. To the south, the Carbet Falls, the Soufrière volcano and the coffee plantations of Vieux-Habitants. The Route de la Traversée, which crosses the Guadeloupe National Park, begins 8 km away and reaches Grande-Terre in thirty minutes.
You stay somewhere genuinely quiet, in a green and unspoilt corner of Guadeloupe, without giving up everyday conveniences: supermarket, bakery, pharmacy and petrol station are all within 2 km.

Our rates
Our three properties are let at between €60 and €100 per night depending on the season, the property and the length of your stay, with a minimum stay of 5 nights.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a car to stay in Bouillante?
We strongly recommend one. Bouillante has no regular public transport, and a car remains essential for reaching the beaches, the trails and the island’s sights. Each property has its own private parking space.
How long is the drive from the airport?
Pointe-à -Pitre Pôle Caraïbes airport is about 40 minutes away by road, either via the Route de la Traversée or along the coast.
When is the best time to visit?
From December to April the weather is at its driest and sunniest — this is the high season. From June to November showers are more frequent but brief, the vegetation is at its most spectacular and there are far fewer visitors. Studio Marlin is let from October to May; Kaz’Basse and Foufou are available all year round.
Is the pool private?
The pool is a shared area of the property, reserved for guests. It is secured, cleaned daily and freely accessible from 8 am to 8 pm. The Foufou bungalow also has its own private 500 m² garden.
Is there sargassum seaweed at Bouillante?
The Côte-sous-le-Vent, on the Caribbean side of Basse-Terre, is very little affected by sargassum strandings, which mainly reach the Atlantic coast of the archipelago. Malendure beach stays accessible all year.
What is the minimum stay?
Five nights for each of the three properties.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not permitted in any of our properties.
Is there a tourist tax?
Yes. The local tourist tax (taxe de séjour) is €0.80 to €0.90 per person per night depending on the property, and is added to the rental price.
How do I pay for my stay?
Payment is made by bank transfer. We send you the details once your booking is confirmed.
How do I book?
